What Happens in Your First Tantric Bodywork Session

Nerves before a first session are completely normal — usually because the unknown feels bigger than it is. Here's exactly what the process looks like, start to finish.

1. The enquiry and screening conversation

It starts with a private enquiry — through the website or directly by phone or email. Every new enquiry is reviewed personally before anything is confirmed: a short conversation, age verification, and an honest check that the session is the right fit for you both. Nothing is booked automatically from a form alone. This step exists for your safety as much as anyone else's, and a practitioner who skips it entirely isn't one worth trusting.

2. Mapping your comfort and preferences

Before your session, you'll be asked to complete a short Comfort Map — intention, pressure, touch style, focus areas, and any no-go areas — at your own pace, in private. It shapes the session, but it's never binding: every answer can change, including in person, at any time. Its purpose is simple — to start the conversation about boundaries before you're in the room, so you're not doing that thinking cold on the day.

3. Arriving

Sessions take place somewhere private and unhurried — there's no rushing at the door. Take the time you need to settle before anything begins. If anything about the space or the day doesn't feel right, that's something to say from the very start, not something to push through.

4. The session itself

A typical session moves through several natural stages, at a pace shaped around you rather than a fixed routine:

Throughout, consent stays specific and ongoing — checked as the session moves, not assumed from the booking. You're free to pause, redirect or stop at any point, for any reason.

5. Aftercare

A session like this can bring up more than the physical — calm, emotion, tiredness, even unexpected feelings are all normal afterward. Good aftercare means not being rushed out the door: time to reorient, talk briefly if you want to, and leave when you're actually ready, not when the clock says so.

Practical logistics

If you're still nervous

That's genuinely fine, and common. First-time clients can choose a slower orientation, and there is no obligation for anything intimate to happen at all. The entire structure above exists precisely so that the pace is yours to set — not the other way around.
